Required Qualifications and Skills

  • We are looking for a professional who has the following skills and attitude:

  • Master degree with 10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • You have knowledge of various costing systems such as standard costing
  • Strong technical skills (e.g. accounting and accounting principles) combined with commercial insight as well as understanding of IT and data warehouse principles.
  • Complex problem solving skills, implying both strong analytical skills to analyze the situation and creativity to propose and implement solutions and processes that work
  • Advanced Excel data skills and experience with ERP systems
  • IT-savvy data cruncher (experience with/interest in Power BI is an asset)
  • You work structured and are a business oriented team player
  • Strong communication skills facilitating the relations with the Business, Operations and the Engineering department
  • Able to work independently, team player
  • Mature personality, hands-on mentality
  • You communicate fluent and clear in both English and Dutch

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Active involvement in the monthly bookings forecast based upon the existing backlog and CRM opportunities, liaise with the sales organization to understand win probabilities and timing, provide bookings related variance explanation actuals vs. forecast and budget
  • You review and challenge new business cases and you ensure cost models are including up-to-date costing data. You understand the financial consequences of contractual terms and conditions, especially from a revenue recognition and margin perspective
  • You provide expert margin analysis (direct material, direct labor, Total Recurring Cost, Gross Margin) and you liaise closely with Operations as well as IT.
  • Follow-up, analysis and challenge of the various engineering projects (part of the OPEX engineering line or customer projects/sustaining engineering booked in the Gross Margin) in close relationship with the Engineering leadership
  • Analysis of existing (financial) processes, data warehouse algorhytms and (financial) reporting, recommend and implement improvements
  • Define improved reporting templates, to be set up in close collaboration with IT, so to allow better decision-making by the management-team.
  • You report to the Group Controller
