Certified for FAA & EASA Standards
Technical competence: engineers and teams who understand security (especially Zero Trust), interoperability, automation platforms, systems safety.
In May 2025, the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) with Secretary Duffy taking the lead, publicly unveiled the Brand New Air Traffic Control Systems (BNATCS) plan. This plan proposed to build a new state-of-the-art air traffic control system replacing core infrastructure (radar, communications, voice switches, etc.). The plan outlines a proposed 3-year framework to transform communications, surveillance, automation, and facilities across ~4,600 sites.
As Barco, Esterline, and now ScioTeq, best in class ATC hardware and equipment is what ScioTeq does. Globally for over 40 years, and since 2004 for the FAA, ScioTeq has manufactured ATC displays, networking devices, and peripheral devices as a whole systems solution. Architecture and topology of ATC systems is where ScioTeq excels at providing reliable, redundant, and next generation systems.
ScioTeq stands out for its deep technical competence, driven by engineers who understand modern security practices, including Zero Trust. We build highly interoperable systems that integrate seamlessly across complex environments and use advanced automation to boost efficiency and reduce risk. With a strong focus on system safety and reliability, ScioTeq delivers cutting-edge, mission-critical solutions that customers can trust in their most demanding operations.
Backed by lean manufacturing designed for the demand driven defense market, ScioTeq provides resilience and agility for ATC hardware manufacturing. ScioTeq has cultivated strong, long-term relationships that foster open communication and data sharing among suppliers, partners, and internal teams to improve planning and responsiveness. Using data collection, predictive analytics, and real-time monitoring to improve demand forecasting across the supply chain, ScioTeq will deliver.
ScioTeq is driven to identify potential hazards, mitigate risk, and ensure the continued safe operation of complex systems. Applying a continuous process of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis to each of our ATC critical components, ScioTeq mitigates risk by identifying potential failure modes for each product, determining the root cause, and ensuring there is a redundant or fail-safe system or procedure applied.
ScioTeq excels at delivering complex projects on time and on budget, consistently meeting tight deadlines while ensuring top performance under contract. Our proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multi-stakeholder efforts makes us a reliable partner clients can trust to keep projects on track.
ScioTeq distinguishes itself by embedding industry-leading cybersecurity practices into every solution we deliver. Our teams maintain rigorous compliance with federal standards, including NIST frameworks, FedRAMP for cloud-based solutions, and advanced encryption protocols, ensuring that our systems are secure, resilient, and mission-ready. This commitment provides customers with confidence that their sensitive data and operational environments meet or exceed regulatory and contractual cybersecurity requirements.
ScioTeq sets itself apart by providing end-to-end sustainment capabilities, going beyond initial system development to deliver comprehensive maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle support. Our commitment to long-term system performance ensures clients receive solutions that remain reliable, up-to-date, and mission-ready throughout their operational life.
ScioTeq differentiates itself through rigorous compliance with federal procurement requirements, including Buy American provisions, mandatory contracting clauses, and strict documentation standards. Our transparent processes and thorough adherence to regulations give clients confidence that every project meets legal, ethical, and contractual obligations, reducing risk and ensuring accountability at every stage.
