Challenge

Beginning in 2022, ENAIRE launched a nationwide program to modernize its Air Traffic Control Centers as part of Europe’s Digital Skies vision. The goal: to equip controllers with a next-generation working environment that improves situational awareness, ergonomics, and long-term scalability.

Key requirements included:

  • A new display-centric console architecture ready for future operational concepts
  • Larger, higher-resolution screen surfaces to improve clarity and reduce controller workload
  • Reliable, long-lifecycle hardware suitable for mission-critical 24/7 operations
  • A solution that integrates seamlessly with ENAIRE’s new iFOCUCS ATC system from Indra

ENAIRE needed a display solution that matched the ambition and sophistication of its future Controller Working Position and approached ScioTeq about its solutions with this.

Solution

To support ENAIRE’s modernization initiative, ScioTeq delivered the MDP-843/2, the industry’s first large-format 4K×2K ATC display specifically engineered for controller environments.

The MDP-843/2 provides:
